Sound familiar?

This is for you if…

You don't need to be strong to start. You need to show up. The group and the coaching handle the rest.

Why Atlas

Why Atlas fits
women who want to try strongman

Strongman is for anyone who wants to get strong and have fun doing it. You don't need experience.

Real strongman equipment

Atlas stones, yokes, kegs, sleds and an outdoor turf. The same equipment used at real contests.

Coached by a competitor

Patrick competes in strongman and coaches every event himself, from setup to finish.

All levels welcome

Every implement is scaled. First-timers start light and learn the technique before anything gets heavy.

Your first month

  1. First visit

You meet Patrick, talk about your goals and try the basic events with light weight.

  2. Weeks 1–4

You learn the technique for each event: carries, loading, pressing and pulling. Weights stay light while you learn.

  3. Month 2 and beyond

Heavier implements, real progress and, if you want it, a first contest to aim for.

Your coach

Patrick Rice

I took 2nd place at USS Strongman Nationals, and I've coached women from their first stone to competition day.

In the group, every woman gets coached on her own technique and her own weights, so beginners and experienced lifters train side by side.

★★★★★Lost 60+ lbs
“When I started, I was 70 pounds overweight (if not more) and very out of shape. Thanks to Patrick's guidance and support, I've lost over 60 pounds and can now lift over 400 pounds – something I never thought possible.”

“After having two kids in the last 4 years, I didn't think I would ever get back into heavy lifting… I have not only gotten my strength back after my kids, but it's better than ever, and my body feels good while I do it.”

Questions

FAQ

Anything else? Call or text (516) 524-3420.

Not local? Can I train with you online?

Yes. With online strongman coaching, you get a program written by me in the Atlas Strength app, video form review, weekly check-ins and messaging, wherever you train. Learn about online strongman coaching →

How much does training cost?

It depends on how often you train and which option you choose. Semi-private training with a friend, the Hybrid Training Program and online coaching all cost less than 1-on-1. I'll go over exact pricing at your meeting, with no pressure and no contracts.

Will other people be in the gym during my session?

Daytime 1-on-1 sessions are private: just you and your coach. Evenings (7 to 9 pm) can have Hybrid Training and open gym members training too.

Do I need strongman experience?

No. Most women start with none. Every event is taught step by step, and weights are scaled to you.

Will strongman make me bulky?

No. Building noticeable muscle takes years of focused training and eating for it. Most women get stronger, leaner and more confident.

How big is the group?

Small. The group is capped so everyone gets real coaching on every event.

When does the group train?

The group trains on set days each week. Call or text (516) 524-3420 or fill out the form for the current schedule.

Do I have to compete?

No. Competing is optional. Some women train for the fun and the strength, others work toward a novice competition.

What equipment will I use?

Atlas stones, logs, axles, yokes, kegs, sandbags, sleds and farmers handles, plus barbells and the outdoor turf.
