Patrick Rice

A lot of my clients come to me with old injuries, achy joints or after finishing physical therapy. My focus is fixing how people move.

Getting movement right first is what lets you get stronger without making things worse. If something needs a doctor's input, I'll tell you.

Questions

FAQ

Anything else? Call or text (516) 524-3420.

Are you a physical therapist?

No. I'm a strength coach with a BS in Kinesiology. I don't diagnose or treat injuries. I help people build strength safely around them, and I'm happy to work with your doctor or PT.

Should I see a doctor first?

If you have a new injury, sharp pain or haven't been cleared, yes. Once you're cleared to exercise, we can build from there.

Can I train with back pain?

Often, yes. Many people with back pain do well with strength training that teaches bracing and good hinging. We start where you're comfortable and progress carefully.

I just finished physical therapy. What now?

This is a great time to start. We keep building the strength you started in PT so it lasts.

What if an exercise hurts?

We change it. There's almost always a version of a movement that works for you, and we don't push through pain.

Is it 1-on-1?

Yes. Training around injuries is done 1-on-1 so every rep gets attention.
