Your coach

Patrick Rice

I'm a competitive strongman and powerlifter, so I coach what I do. I know what it takes to learn the stones, press a log overhead and get ready for meet day.

I have a BS in Kinesiology from SUNY Cortland and I'm NSCA-CPT certified. Technique comes first, so you can keep lifting heavy for years.

Questions

FAQ

Anything else? Call or text (516) 524-3420.

I've never done strongman. Can I start?

Yes. No strongman experience is needed. You start with the basics and lighter implements, and every lift is coached until your technique is solid.

What equipment do you have?

Atlas stones on 42 to 58 inch platforms, a strongman log, kegs, sleds, tires, specialty barbells, Rogue power racks, bumper plates and a reverse hyper, plus an outdoor turf area for carries and events.

Can you get me ready for my first competition?

Yes. Programs are built around your meet date: event practice, peaking, and making your weight class if needed. Patrick has competed in strongman and powerlifting himself.

Do I have to train in person?

No. If you're not on Long Island, online coaching gives you strongman and powerlifting programming in the Atlas Strength app with video form review.

How far do people travel to train here?

Clients come from across Nassau and western Suffolk. Strongman equipment like this is hard to find on Long Island.
