Who it's for

Training built
around you

Most of my clients aren't competitive lifters. They're local adults who want to feel strong, move without pain and stay that way.

Private on purpose

Completely private.
Not a small group.

A lot of gyms around here call it personal training, then put you in a group of 4 to 8 sharing one coach. At Atlas, your session is booked for you, and during the day the gym is just you and your coach.

Just you and your coach

Daytime sessions are booked one at a time. No members walking in, nobody waiting on your rack and no one else's workout in your way.

Every rep coached

Your coach isn't splitting attention across a room. Every set gets watched, cued and adjusted, which is how you get stronger without getting hurt.

Nobody watching

No crowd to feel judged by. Start where you are, ask anything and learn at your own pace.

Want to train with someone? Bring your own partner or small group for semi-private training. Still no strangers.

Why Atlas

Why Atlas fits
you

Here is what makes training at Atlas different from a big-box gym.

A private gym

No crowds, no waiting for equipment and no one watching. During your session it is just you and your coach.

Coached by the owner

Patrick has run Atlas since 2015 and coaches your sessions himself. He knows your history, your goals and what you did last week.

A plan written for you

Your program is built around your goals, your schedule and anything that bothers you. It changes as you get stronger.

Your first month

  1. First visit

We talk through your goals, training history and any injuries, then look at how you move. You leave knowing exactly what the plan is.

  2. Weeks 1–4

You learn the main movements with weights that fit you. Every rep is coached, and the plan gets adjusted week to week.

  3. Month 2 and beyond

The weights go up, the movements feel natural and you can see your progress in the app. Most people feel the difference in daily life by now.

Your coach

Patrick Rice

I opened Atlas Strength to be a different kind of gym. It's private on purpose: I know every client by name, I write every program myself, and I coach every session.

I'm a competitive strongman athlete, USS Strongman Nationals runner-up and former nationally ranked powerlifter with 15+ years of athletic experience, a BS in Kinesiology from SUNY Cortland, and NSCA-CPT certification.

★★★★★Training around an injury
“I came in dealing with some right shoulder issues, and instead of just having me push through pain or avoid certain movements altogether, he took the time to show me different techniques and modifications… That level of personalized attention and knowledge is hard to find at most gyms.”

Questions

FAQ

Anything else? Call or text (516) 524-3420.

Do you have an open gym or gym memberships?

Yes. If you want somewhere to train without waiting for machines, open gym membership gives you full gym access Monday to Thursday, 7 to 9 pm, with a coach on the floor helping throughout. It's guidance without going full personal training. It's sign-up only, with no drop-ins. Want a plan written for you? The Hybrid Training ProgramEvening strength training adds Patrick's programming in the Atlas Strength app. Call or text (516) 524-3420 for details.

How much does training cost?

It depends on how often you train and which option you choose. Semi-private training with a friend, the Hybrid Training Program and online coaching all cost less than 1-on-1. I'll go over exact pricing at your meeting, with no pressure and no contracts.

Will other people be in the gym during my session?

Daytime 1-on-1 sessions are private: just you and your coach. Evenings (7 to 9 pm) can have Hybrid Training and open gym members training too.

I've never lifted before. Is this for me?

Yes. Many of my clients started as complete beginners. Every exercise is scaled to where you are, and every rep is coached.

How long and how often are sessions?

Sessions are 60 minutes. Most clients train 2 to 3 times a week, but anywhere from 1 to 5 works.

Where is the gym?

558 Westbury Ave in Carle Place, NY, right off the Meadowbrook and Northern State, minutes from Westbury, Garden City and Mineola. It's also 1 block from the Carle Place LIRR station.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No. Training is month to month.
